Bio of Ray Marquez


Director Ray Marquez resides in the City of Chino Hills with his wife Barbara.  They have three grown children, Patrick, Rey, and Andrew.

 

Director Marquez was born in Glendale and grew up in Norwalk, California. 

 

Director Marquez has over 28 years of experience in the Fire Service with the City of Santa Fe Springs.  He retired from the Santa Fe Springs Fire Department in July of 2009.

 

Currently, Director Marquez's community involvement and affiliations include serving on the CIW Citizen Advisory Commission, California Special Districts Association (CSDA), CSDA Legislative Committee, CSDA Fiscal Committee, CSDA Special District Task Force, Y.M.C.A Board of Managers, Chino Centennial Advisory Committee and the Carbon Canyon Fire Safety Council.

 

Director Marquez has also served as a City of Chino Hills Parks and Recreation Commissioner, a City of Chino Hills Planning Commissioner, Salvation Army Board Member, President of the Canyon Hills Little League for three years, Head Coach for A.Y.S.O, and AD for Junior All American Football.  He has also been a member of the Ayala High School Wrestling Booster Club, served on the Chino Hills Citizen Patrol and was part of the Incorporation Committee for Chino Hills. 

 

In his personal life, Director Marquez enjoys spending time with his family.
