Fire Investigations

FAITHFULNESS. INTEGRITY. RESPECT. EXCELLENCE.

Chino Valley Fire conducts investigations of fires to determine their cause and origin. Fire Investigators are highly-trained specialists that use a systematic approach and knowledge of fire science to conduct their investigation, gather evidence, and pursue prosecution in arson-related fires.

The Investigation team consists of both Chino Valley Fire’s Community Risk Reduction personnel and Emergency Services personnel. For any fires related to activity conducted by a minor, an additional evaluation is performed to determine if the respective minor would benefit from the Youth Fire Setter Program.
