CVFD Staffing Ambulances

Chino Valley Fire District personnel will continue staffing two ambulances through the end of December in response to staffing shortages with the private ambulance provider AMR (American Medical Response).  The County of San Bernardino contracts AMR to transport patients to the hospital. The Chino Valley Fire District received a third ambulance that will go into service as a reserve unit on November 8.  The reserve ambulance will be used during scheduled maintenance and in the event of unforeseen mechanical issues with frontline ambulances to ensure response readiness at all times.  There are two ambulances currently stationed in Chino (Station 61) and Chino Hills (Station 66).  Each ambulance is staffed with two Chino Valley Fire District personnel capable of providing exceptional medical care while transporting patients from the field to the Emergency Room.
