Jeff Tytula- Engineer, Chino Valley Fire District

Engineer Jeff Tytula was hired as a Firefighter by the Chino Valley Fire District in June 1994. Over the course of more than three decades of dedicated service, Jeff has exemplified professionalism, leadership, and commitment to both the Fire District and the Chino Valley communities

Jeff pursued his fire service education at Mt. San Antonio College, where he completed the Fire Technology program and graduated from the Mt. San Antonio Fire Academy. In 2000, he completed his paramedic studies at Crafton Hills College.

In June 2000, Jeff was promoted to Firefighter/Paramedic. As a certified paramedic preceptor, he played a key role in mentoring and developing new paramedics within the organization. He also demonstrated his commitment to community outreach by teaching monthly CPR and First Aid classes to the public. In January 2011, Jeff was promoted to Engineer, where he continues to serve with distinction.

Beyond his operational responsibilities, Jeff has been actively involved in supporting the fire service community. He has served on the Chino Valley Professional Firefighters Executive Board and currently serves as Vice President of the Chino Valley Fire Foundation.

Jeff’s long-standing dedication, leadership, and service make him truly deserving of the Firefighter of the Year recognition.


Employee of the Year

Ryan Moore, Support Services Technician

Ryan Moore joined the Chino Valley Fire District on April 20, 2024 as a Support Services Technician. He brought with him a decade of municipal maintenance experience and a strong commitment to public service.

Prior to his role with Chino Valley Fire, Ryan served 10 years with the city of Claremont as a Maintenance Worker, where he oversaw facilities, street maintenance, and parks operations. During his tenure, he was honored with the Employee of the Year recognition and received the City Manager’s Award of Excellence for his outstanding dedication and performance.

At Chino Valley Fire, Ryan plays a vital role in ensuring firefighters and staff have the resources and support they need to serve the Chino Valley. He oversees inventory for all fire stations and Fire Administration, ensuring supplies are stocked and readily available. He assists firefighters during emergency responses by providing food, water, and logistical support. After wildland fire incidents he gathers and redistributes hoses to ensure equipment is returned to service promptly.

Ryan works closely with Training Captains to coordinate projects and secure necessary supplies for training operations. He has contributed to numerous facility improvement projects across the Fire District, including landscaping at Fire Station 63 and Fire Administration, as well as ongoing landscaping maintenance at the Mechanic Shop. His hands-on work includes painting offices, patching and repairing walls, assisting with plumbing and electrical projects, and supporting the installation of water filtration systems at all Fire District facilities.

In addition, Ryan supports our fleet by performing minor maintenance on staff vehicles and expediting parts for mechanics to ensure apparatus are returned to service as quickly as possible. He also manages sandbag orders and ensures sand is available at fire stations for community needs.

Ryan is instrumental in District-wide events, coordinating set-up and breakdown for community programs such as Make a Child Smile, Senior Delivery, the Open House, and the State of the District event. Whether responding to a Chief’s maintenance request, assisting with large-scale projects, or supporting crews in the field, Ryan’s versatility, reliability, and dedication make him an invaluable member of the Chino Valley Fire District.
