Under the direction of the finance director, the finance department is responsible for the following district functions:
- Budget
- General accounting, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Payroll
- Purchasing
- Financial reporting
- Budget development and management
- Treasury (investments) and cash management
- Long-range financial planning
EXPENDITURE PRIORITIES
Limited revenue sources are available to the fire district to provide for planned service levels, with the majority of fire district revenues being subject to property valuation. Therefore, a fire district expenditure priority policy is established as follows:
- Fire Protection including Community Risk Reduction
- Emergency Medical Services
- Hazardous Materials Responses
- Urban Search and Rescue
- Emergency Preparedness
