We Use NextRequest
The Chino Valley Fire District uses a service provided by NextRequest for all public records act requests and subpoenas. Should you wish to submit a public records request, you will be redirected to their website in a new browser tab.
The district will notify you that the records request has been received and is being processed, and will respond to your public records request within 10 days. A response may include the requested information or a written notice if additional information and/or additional time is required to search for and collect the information being requested, as set forth in the CVFDs Public Records Request Policy.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The California Public Records Act (CPRA) was passed by the California Legislature in 1968 for government agencies and requires that government records be disclosed to the public, upon request, unless there are privacy and/or public safety exemptions that would prevent doing so.

Government Code §6252 (e) defines a public record as “any writing containing information relating to the conduct of the public’s business prepared, owned, used or retained by any state or local agency regardless of physical form or characteristics.”
To make a public records act request, click on the red button above labeled “SUBMIT PRA REQUEST.”
Anyone can make a public records act request.
An agency receiving a request for documents under the Public Records Act has ten days in which to respond to the request.
Records identified as responsive to your public records act request will be available through the district’s public records portal. You will receive a notification when the documents requested are available.
CONFIRE JPA provides dispatch services for the district and therefore is the official custodian of records for 911 calls. You may reach them directly to submit a formal request by mail, or email.
