Chino Valley Fire genuinely cares and is committed to the youth within the communities we serve. The goal of the Youth Fire Setter program is to reduce the number of fire-related deaths, burn injuries, and property destruction caused by youth fire-setting.
Chino Valley Fire personnel provide fire safety education and intervention to youths with an interest in fire or explosives and to those who have been involved in a fire-setting incident. The fire safety education addresses the hazards of fire, the consequences of inappropriate actions, and ways to keep our youth on the right path in the future.

Is there a cost to participate in the YFS Program?
The Fire District may require a deposit to participate in the program. The fee amount is adopted in our Master Fee Schedule. The deposit is to ensure that the youth completes the required sessions.
What can I expect from the program?
The youth is required to attend with their parent(s) or legal guardian. The program will consist of meeting with fire officials where an evaluation is conducted. The youth and the respective adult(s) will be shown a video related to the seriousness of fire-setting. The youth will be required to complete an assigned project and will present their work on the project to the fire officials.
