Wildfire Training Scheduled in Chino Hills State Park

Chino Valley Fire District is hosting an annual multi-agency wildfire preparedness drill for San Bernardino County in Chino Hills State Park on Tuesday, May 16, and Thursday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The public can expect to see a water-dropping helicopter land in the state park on both days and multiple firefighters from surrounding agencies in the area. The park will remain open, but there will be multiple fire apparatus and equipment within the park.

The drill will focus on company operations, incident command, communication, and other critical components of wildland firefighting.
