FIRE RISK REDUCTION COMMUNITY DESIGNATION

Effective July 1, 2024, the fire district received designation from the Board of Forestry as a Fire Risk Reduction Community. This prestigious recognition is part of the state’s effort to enhance fire safety and resilience across California’s high-risk areas.

By qualifying for the list, the fire district demonstrates compliance with the Board of Forestry requirements and dedication to fire planning that exceeds state minimum standards.

The List is developed and maintained by the Board of Forestry and is updated every two years, requiring each local agency to reapply every even year.
